Teapots with Sailboats~~

Today has been beautiful!  After a very little "lite" house cleaning (needed to clarify that--I don't live in a light-house--LOL--;)  decided to bring out some different linens for my computer room/home office/girly stuff-room.

I may be using the aqua blues and tans for the daybed upstairs for awhile:

Was going to use my one sailboat teapot as a planter today~~but, then decided it looked pretty with some linen napkins for now.

Sweet little porcelain shells napkin rings:

Moved some dishes around again; as well as my plants~~

Found a piece of unfinished doily~~fitting pretty on a make~shift cloche~~

I Walmart~ed this week and found just a couple more indoor plants ;)

But, I need to junk~hunt for the perfect container.   (well I'm liking that idea already)~~~

I L-o-v-e indoor little plants!  I probably mentioned that a few times.

Aren't these adorable??  Just another little obsession of mine~~

What's green and white---

Please allow me to use some older posts: the weatherman has PROMISED sunshine today--I'm still waiting patiently---to take some new pictures for my blog this week. 

I, too, waiting (patiently again) for my gardens to SPRING alive!  Here's my favorite angel in the garden last year---

Love real vine-y plants---in little containers and vintage planters:

While that "patiently waiting" thing is going on--the little green vines in the house will keep me happy;  do you like tucking in potted plants here and there too?  I move them around like my dishes all the time!

What goes great with white?  ANYTHING!

Today was not a bad hunting-day for vintage--

A little bonus porcelain bunny to match a few Easter blue-checked linen napkins:

A single pillow case embroidered with blue hearts--

Found a gray wooden file box--and more little metal molds:

Love this wooden box--sweet hardware inside still slides to hold index cards:

Cutest little planter; wash tubs---

See the "plastic" ornate wall pitcher?  I know--it's PLASTIC--

but, something about it--(maybe because it was only a dollar!)---it just has some charm to it.  I'll paint it white----

Then a little vintage book "Bridges of Madison County"--yes--seen the movie 2, 3 or 10 times.  Cost:  25 cents.

Embroidery hoop---the hangers were FREE from a friend!

At C.C.--sweet wall lamp for $3.00; loving the milk glass.

Also from C.C.---three old plates W. S. George---50 cents each---

And then later today at the local resale shop--found this wrought iron plate stand for $5.00:

Perfect for my W. S. George plates!

Talk about awesome happenings---I love to collect vintage religious items:

I purchased the picture on Ebay for $12.00 last month--

and a few days later at a local shop I found this tall plaster figure of Madonna for $2.50:

look at how similar they are!  I love them.

My Old Bricks and Pathways

Between the shed and the pergola--my obsession with old pavers;

farther back to the right and left a great hiding place for garden things not being used at the moment.

I added the trellis in the back for Virginia Creeper vine: a good choice that is not too invasive and will not destroy the fence (like my bad choice of Trumpet Vine a few years ago!).

This was late last fall; not much color left in the garden; here is were I plan to add more pavers to border the edge--big pots of white flowers while waiting for the perennials to take hold:

Lovely old clay pots in big wooden bowl: patiently waiting for the potting shed I don't have-----yet.  My little potting shed has been planned for many months--I can hardly wait for it to materialize!  I need to find some old french doors for one point on entry--has to look old and forever there---

A place to store old bottles and hang up flowers and herbs to dry:

An old table for constructing wreaths--potting plants--making messes.

And finally a place to use this $5.00 bargain rack---can you imagine some tall, old metal bins underneath this--possibly to hold potting soil--or just some old junk buckets--

And the Sweet Annie (in with the pink roses photo) will soon be sprouting up; grows so quickly and bushes out like evergreen trees!  The fragrance is wonderful---I will dry big bundles of these for wreaths in the fall--

I cheated today and used past photos; nothing like a little dreamin' and schemin':  got the clipboard beside me with notes and pictures out of magazines recently--

Serene Little Corner

Yep~~I can hardly wait til SPRING! 

Today was gloomy and rainy~~so I posted my little backyard nook as a reminder that it really won't be long until I can see this again.  This year I plan to add more whites in the garden and get my potting shed~~~

Old Currier & Ives Floral Tin

I'm running a little late tonight getting my rusty stuff posted!  Bad day for picture taking:

I love this rusty cookie tin; Currier & Ives with the white background on the lid:

Got a box of old photos with those really neat cardboard frames;  two wicker plant~fans; a couple of doilies and little pink gloves.

My idea is to use some vintage~looking wallpaper inserted into the frames and add my own little photos~~~~
