Those Dollar Stores~~

Just before Easter I stopped into Dollar Store and found
these placemats and at first passed them up.  Then I went back and bought four of them: thinking they would look great with white dinner plates.

I've had these vintage salad plates for a few weeks;  layered on top  of my "Catholic Charity" white dinner plates; they are my favorites and I usually reach for them first when I set the table.

There's a little shop not too far away from me that takes "cast offs"~~I got so lucky finding two slipper chairs~~$2.00 each: in bad upholstery condition~~

And knowing I am NOT a seamstress by any means~~I do think I can whip up some slip~covers for these darling chairs~~another project!

  12. I am very curious as what and how you cover your chair.

I have a wing back chair that I want to slip cover and have not a clue as how to do it so really might as well sell the chair

    Talked myself out of it

  25. Where can I get prices like that on chairs?! Can't wait to see your slipcovers. And thanks for leaving me such encouraging comments on my blog. You're right about the eye-candy at the store by the way. They did such a great job displaying my furniture that I just had my first item sold. Woohoo!

Hope you had a great weekend.

  27. what a deal!!! You'll have to promise to share the slipcovers with us for those chairs. I'm sure they are going to be gorgeous! They just don't make sturdy furniture like they used to. I always prefer redoing older pieces verses buying new and with finds like these, who needs new items from the expensive furniture store?!

  28. Those slipper chairs are wonderful! What a bargain! And the style is so perfect for simple slipcovers. I hope you share your project when you've completed it. I'd love to make a slipcover for my couch but I'm a little nervous about a project that big. Good luck!!

  30. Wow, you are such a talented lady, I wouldn't have a clue where to start to make a slipcover. The touch of blue on the placemat, perfect with the blue in the plates. Love your white pottery in your header. Thanks for visiting, and I'm your newest follower. Hope you'll visit often..........
