Frog Tape and an Old Leather Suitcase

I'm probably the last person in blog~land to use Frog Tape.  I'm really impressed with it's ability to give clean lines (even when I rearranged the tape several times before painting)~~

I'm going to try this on fabric also~~it's a bit more expensive than regular painters tape, but well worth the results~~

~~got a new stencil to show off onto this old leather suitcase~~

~~just a bit more distressing to do (after getting the "clean lines")~~
gotta make it look more vintage because the stripes look too new (well, they are of course)~~

Have you tried this tape on fabric and how did it stand up to the job for you?

Hope you're making it a great week~~thanks for stopping by and wishing you many blessings!

Wicker Hamper and Old Chair Projects

I bought a vintage wicker hamper and ladder back chair for $3.00 each.  The chair I have had for a long time and finally added it to the project list.  The black paint projects were lined up~~here's two of them:

Here's an older picture below of wood chair (one of my junk finding days)~~

Painted with home~made black chalk paint and lightly distressed;

~~a black and white Toile pillow looks sweet with the French script padded seat~~

Below is the cute hamper; it was in dire/desperate condition; really was a fabulous $3.00 bargain~~

~~and below is a picture of it white with plastic vinyl in it's prior
life~~

~~Geez~~I found this fabric in my stash and forgot I even had this; was a perfect little touch after padding the lid~~used a bit of jute trim around the edges~~

~~Thanks for stopping by~~I'm off to see what you've been up to.  Have a great day and many blessings!  ~patty~

Tuesday's Projects and Junk Finds

Yep~~another wreath~~(it's just the autumn thing for me; I love to dry flowers this time of year)~~
and attached an old book to the base of the wreath with ribbon and wire~~

~~some sweet friends save me their roses when they are about to be tossed:  I'll hang them upside down to dry and use them in pretty bouquets~~I love how they look "vintage".   Artemesia, hydrangeas, roses and carnations all dried for this wreath~~

And here's my loot from a few days ago:  that nasty~looking wicker hamper is going to be my next project ($3.00)~~after I get that big, antique door (behind the wicker) completed today~~

An old swivel wooden stool (already filled in the holes where the back support used to be); that newspaper roller I'm thinking will be sweet for an autumn display~~

I have plans for the cheap ($1.00) round table with legs that screw on~~and sweet little frames to use with some hardware/wire backing~~

Well, below is that old door~~it is HUGE!  ~~and it was only $5.00!   I've got both sides painted now and ready to add some big hooks; going to stencil the glass later today and get this off to the booths:  will look cute displaying wreaths, vintage clothing, etc~~~~

And this old chair I just added a stencil on today~~

~~because it is one of those "as is" conditions:   it will be a darling way to display a favorite plant~~

Taking it to the booth tomorrow with that HUGE door!
Why do I buy big stuff to lug around??

Hey; thanks for being here~~hope your week is a great one and many blessings come your way!

Dried Flowers and Another Wreath

Dried Hydrangeas sell very well on their own at my booths; I love making fall arrangements out of them too~~

Tomorrow I'll show the little one I made with an old book tied on with wire and ribbon and some of my latest junk finds~~I'm off to see what you've been up to; have you found any great stuff lately?

Have a great, blessed week!

Tuesday's Junk and Makin' A Sign

Here's a few things I bought on the cheap recently:  Last week bought a huge, burlap potato sack for $1.00~~I'm thinking of reupholstering a chair cushion and pillow from it~~

Tuesday, found another one of these wooden lid things for  $1.00; and made a sign from it~~

I love stenciling; bet you knew that already!

Off to see what you're up to, then start some painting projects.   Make it a great day and have many Blessings!

Make A Cloche From Glass Lamp

The top "cloche" (aka old glass lamp filled with dust and shells) was taken apart; the metal parts spray painted black; removing the electrical cord, socket~~and cleaned the glass portion:

Below is a smaller version~~bought them both for $2.50 each!
You've seen them in the junk shops~~they are everywhere and pretty much on the cheap~~

This larger one was perfect size to add some vintage bingo cards,  French script papers wrapped with ribbon, a few wine corks and a paper clock face~~

I used another small glass part from another old lamp; added the finial~~

This was a fun little project; adding this and that to the inside took the longest~~had too much potential of wee things to place in there!

Sending this project over to this fun party:  see you there!

Vintage Cutting Boards and Three Little Pigs

Before taking off to restock the booths today, wanted to share a few "fillers" for the shelves.

I have a thing for old cutting boards; all shapes and sizes.  But, my ultimate favorite are the home~made ones from the 1930's and 1940's piggies:

Three little pigs~~

~~just had to add some French Numbering~~

Repurposed old lampshade becomes a sweet little memo holder~~
and "done up" some old books for basket fillers~~

Bought two large storage jars recently and added some cute labels~~

Perfect to hold K-cups, teabags, sugar, flour, cookies, crafts, etc~~~

Have an awesome week of bliss and blessings!  ~patty~
